[Karis appears in knee-deep water, half-crouched, almost on all fours. She's in mid-run and she stumbles for a moment, sprawling into the water with a splash. She clambers to her feet, spluttering, her claws hooked viciously. Her wet hair is plastered against her skull and the glowing, yellow light in her eyes has dimmed to two small pin-pricks. She doesn't speak. She doesn't say anything. She just lets out a low, throaty, growl, that really isn't human.]

[Kristin continues crawling desperately towards the elevators.]

[Karis' grip tightens on the communicator.]

[Karis stares at the communicator in her hands for a moment and then turns and hurls it out into the caves. It lands somewhere with a splash and she lets out a wordless howl of rage before falling to her knees.]
